Welcome to 2024!
To kick things off this year, I'll be starting with a blog post about another blog!

This is going to be a blog in the category of, RESOURCES.
I am often asked where I find the crazy range of data science and engineering side tools that I use for various projects. I will shamelessly admit that I learn of nearly 99% of the tools I use from other data scientists.
Of that 99%, one sticks out in particular and it is Khuyen Tran's "Data Science Simplified" blog. I've been following Khuyen for roughly 3 years now and must highly recommend her blog for any experienced or newly minted data scientist or engineer. I would especially recommend signing up for her newsletter. She provides a neat data science tip on a near daily basis and many tips find their way into my work.
The one thing that I most enjoy about her blog are the walkthroughs of the things she writes about. They are detailed enough for me to get an idea if the tip or tool will be useful - and she manages to do it in as little time and space possible. She respects our time and is not an adherent of passing an educational blizzard on down to the next poor data scientist. (Which many data science blogs do. - Mind, super in-depth articles are great, but they become overwhelming when their read times are greater than a half hour and there is work to be done.)
The next thing I most like about her blog is that she finds new tools and will present them if they are helpful. I really like this as I'm just usually too busy to keep up with the latest tools being developed for data science.
So if you are looking to get great tips for your data science workflow and keep up with the times, I highly recommend you sign up for Khuyen's newsletter.
Happy data sciencing!
